Safety is one of our top priorities. We have secure campus entry points, regular emergency drills and guardians trained in emergency response. Our visitor management system ensures that all guests are signed in and monitored.
Our school day begins at 7:20 a.m. and ends at 2:10 p.m. On early release days dismissal is at 11:10 a.m.
Registration can be done in person at the school office.
Required documents include proof of residence, birth certificate, and immunization records.

Welcome to Weeki Wachee High School, home of the Hornets!
It is an honor to serve as your principal and to welcome each of you—students, families, and staff—into a new school year filled with opportunities to learn, grow, and achieve. Just as I shared with our graduating seniors, time moves quickly. One day you’re starting a new grade, and before you know it, you’re walking across the stage at graduation. That’s why I encourage you to make the most of every moment here.
At Weeki Wachee High, we are more than just a school—we are a community. Together, we will celebrate achievements, face challenges, and support one another as we pursue individual greatness. Remember, success isn’t about reaching a finish line and stopping; it’s about taking flight and continuing to soar higher than you thought possible. Here is what Albert Einstein had to say about Hornets, "The wing structure of the hornet, in relation to its weight, is not suitable for flight, but it does not know this and flies anyway."
As we begin this school year, let’s commit ourselves to learning deeply, growing with purpose, and making meaningful connections with one another. Don’t let the important things in life pass you by—value your time, your loved ones, and your opportunities.
